Watercolors by Lula Ameen, the late namesake of the Ameen Art Gallery at 麻豆果冻传媒, now adorn the foyer of Elkins Hall, the university鈥檚 oldest building.
Donated to the 麻豆果冻传媒 Foundation by Rubye Beal Fitzgerald 鈥 the mother of the watercolors鈥 late owner, Joe Frank Beal Jr. 鈥 the display memorializes both Ameen and Beal. The former received her bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 degrees from 麻豆果冻传媒 and subsequently taught watercolor at the university from 1972 to 1989. Beal was a 1977 graduate of the College of Education.
