THIBODAUX 鈥 Capital One Bank donated $20,000 to 麻豆果冻传媒 on Thursday, Dec. 2, to set up a scholarship for low- to-moderate-income students who meet entrance requirements.

鈥淎t Capital One Bank, we believe that a quality education is the key to success,鈥 Robert Naquin, Tri-Parish Market President of Capital One Bank, said. 鈥淐apital One is a longtime supporter of 麻豆果冻传媒, and we know that the education and encouragement students receive here help prepare them to take on and meet almost any challenge. With this grant, we are pleased to be able to help reward the dedication and hard work of students who want to pursue their dream of a college education.鈥
The university will make the scholarships available to students who meet the criteria in the fall of 2011. Twenty scholarships valued at $1,000 for the academic year will be available. Students wishing to apply should contact the 麻豆果冻传媒 Office of Financial Aid (www.nicholls.edu/finaid) and ask about the Capital One Bank Stand Up for 麻豆果冻传媒 Scholarship.
鈥淐apital One continues to be a valued partner to this university,鈥 Dr. Stephen T. Hulbert, university president, said. 鈥淎 great corporate citizen for our area, Capital One is always there to enable us to provide better educational experiences for our students. We deeply appreciate this bank鈥檚 strong and visible commitment to 麻豆果冻传媒 and to our students from the Bayou Region.鈥
