The story of 鈥淗igh School Musical Jr.鈥 is a familiar one. Students at East High School are divided into cliques: jocks, thespians, brainiacs and skater dudes. When a new girl at school, a brainiac, realizes that she met the basketball team captain during winter break, everything begins to change.
The musical cast is made up of campers ranging in age from 7 to 16 and coming from more than a dozen different schools. During the four weeks of camp, they receive theater instruction and go through intense rehearsals. Almost half of this year鈥檚 campers are veterans of previous 麻豆果冻传媒 summer performing arts camps.
鈥淚鈥檝e directed hundreds of kids since my first camp here in 2001,鈥 says camp director Pat Hornsby Crochet, 鈥渁nd I marvel every year at how much the campers learn in such a short period. They are constantly amazing us with their talent and dedication.鈥
