The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 and its implementing regulations, each as amended (collectively, 鈥淔ERPA鈥�), set forth requirements designed to protect the privacy of student education records. The law governs access to records maintained by educational institutions and the release of information from those records. A student鈥檚 academic records may be discussed with third parties only with the student鈥檚 written authorization.
The New Member Release Form gives permission to the Office of Greek Life at 麻豆果冻传媒 to release new member's eligibility information to a chapter for recruitment/intake purposes, semester grade point average and cumulative grade point average for use in chapter scholarship statistics, awards recognition, and verification of minimum academic standards and requirements.
By completing and signing this form, you are agreeing to release this information to your chapter advisors, inter/national headquarters, the chapter鈥檚 governing council, and/or the chapter president and scholarship chair for the duration of your membership in the organization listed above, until you graduate, or until you request in writing to be removed from this release.
